Change of Use Change from A1 Shop to Sui Generis Nail Salon

Charter House Planning were instructed by our client to submit a planning application to change the use of a retail unit within Salisbury’s Secondary Shopping Area to a Sui Generis use as a Nail Salon. Our team provided supporting documents and plans, demonstrating that the change of use accorded with Wiltshire’s local planning policy and then submitted the application on behalf of our client.

As the agent for the application, Charter House Planning liaised closely with both the Environmental Protection Department and the Case Officer at Wiltshire Council, who wanted to ensure that no adverse odour impacts were experienced by neighbours of the unit.

Following discussions with the Council’s Officers, our team produced an Odour Impact Assessment which identified the potential risks to occupiers of adjacent properties and provided detailed mitigation measures to be incorporated into the Nail Salon. Upon receipt of this information Officers were satisfied the proposal was acceptable and approved the application.
