Two New Homes and a Converted Coach House

Charter House Planning are delighted to have achieved planning permission in Basingstoke for two new dwellings and the reconfiguration of an existing garage to form a coach house.

Located within the settlement boundary, the principle of residential development on site had been accepted by the Local Planning Authority, but previous attempts by other parties to develop the land had been refused on a variety of grounds.

Our planning team assisted in the preparation, submission and management of an application for a more sympathetic scheme than envisioned previously, whilst our 3D designers generated images to support the application.

During the determination period, the Case Officer requested that we gain confirmation from the local emergency services that they were happy with the coach house arrangement at the front of the site. CHP worked with the local fire service to ensure that this final hurdle was overcome and permission was duly granted.
